An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge

From the story An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge the theme of the story to me is reality vs illusion. I think that because In the story Peyton Fraquhar was a a good worker from the south. He was tricked into doing the wrong thing. With that being said he was hung to death. By him listening to a friend he was killed. He never got to go home to see his wife again.
A symbol in this story is the log floating down the river. Its the symbol because a log floating by fast and just get down the creek. He was being hung but it seemed like for real for him to die. Just like the log it was taking to long. To see the log is a sign of  Peyton Fraquhar his self. Both were taking too long. He should have been dead, the log should have been down the creek. both were taking way too long.

A Rose For Emily

A theme for A Rose For Emily is gossip. I believe the theme for A Rose For Emily is gossip.I think the theme is gossip only because whenever something happen with Emily nobody would say it to her face just behind her back. A reason it stood out to me because a lot of people do that so I can understand it. So many people say things about you but never do they say it to your face just to the next person. They did that every time with Emily always in her bushiness but never saying anything to her face.  
A symbol is the story A Rose For Emily is the colors. One of the colors were black! It means death. A lot of  people died in the story. Emily died, her father died, she killed her husband. In the story black is used a lot in the story to show death. Another color is white to show she's pure. Also that she was protected,never left alone. 

Five Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed

The theme of the story five little monkeys  is to listen to your parents. When you don't listen to your parents, then bad things happen to or around you for not listening. example. if your mother tells you to do something, mostly it's for your own good. She wouldn't tell you anything to hurt or get you hurt. She's only trying to help you, if you don't listen o her then something bad could happen to you. The five little monkeys  didn't listen to their mom. One by one they started to pay the price for not listening to their mother. One by one they began to get hurt. their mother tired to keep them from getting hurt. they choose not to listen is that was the end result.
